MONTGOMERY, Alabama -- Judging by the two votes that swung the Mr. Football award in Jeremy Johnson's direction, it's evident many sports writers across the state felt Fultondale's ArDarius Stewart deserved the honor just as much as Johnson.Johnson (who finished with 3,899 total yards and 38 touchdowns) succeeded against top-of-the line competition in Class 6A, while Stewart (2,957 total yards, 46 touchdowns) played both sides of the ball and has had a stellar overall career.
In the video above, AL.com's Josh Bean, Jeff Sentell and Wesley Sinor debate the pros and cons of Johnson and Stewart, and whether the Alabama Sports Writers Association made the right choice. Make sure to vote in our poll and tell us who you would have voted for and why in the comment section.
